How can we help?

What is CatShot?
CatShot connects you with one person, your partner or your best friend. Either of you can ask for a Catshot, and the other has 15 seconds to take a screenshot of whatever they're looking at and send it. Fresh screenshots only, so there's no time to fake it.
How do I connect with my person?
One of you creates an invite in CatShot and shares the 6-character code. The other installs CatShot, taps that they have a code and enters it. Codes last 7 days.
How does a request work?
Tap Ask. Your person gets a notification and a countdown on their Lock Screen. They take a screenshot within the 15 seconds, then it's sent to you. With Send as soon as I take it turned on, it goes the moment they take it. Otherwise they tap Send.
Why does CatShot need full Photos access?
iOS saves screenshots to your photo library, so CatShot needs access to find the one you just took. It only looks at screenshots from the current request and only sends the one you take. With limited access, iOS hides new screenshots from the app, so please choose Full Access.
I'm not getting requests or the countdown.
Open the iOS Settings app, then Notifications, then CatShot, and turn on Allow Notifications. For the countdown on your Lock Screen, also check that Live Activities are on for CatShot. If CatShot shows an alert on its home screen, tap it to fix what's missing.
Can I take a break?
Yes. In Settings you can pause CatShot for an hour, for the night or until you turn it back on, and set quiet hours. Your person only sees that you're paused, never why.
How long are Catshots kept?
30 days at most. You can delete one sooner from the Catshot itself, and it's removed for both of you. All Catshots are deleted when the connection ends.
How do I unpair or block someone?
In Settings. Unpairing ends the connection and deletes your Catshots. Blocking also makes sure you can't be connected again. The other person isn't told why. You can also report a Catshot from its menu.
How does the subscription work?
One plan covers both of you, so only one of you needs to subscribe. If a free trial is offered, you won't be charged until it ends, and you can cancel before then. Manage or cancel anytime in the iOS Settings app under your name, then Subscriptions. On a new iPhone, tap Restore on the plan screen.
How do I delete my account?
In CatShot, open Settings and tap Delete account. This ends your connection and deletes your profile and Catshots. It doesn't cancel a subscription, so cancel that in the iOS Settings app as well.
